Levi and Liberty have no memory of the ocean, so we decided to take a trip to the Oregon Coast in July. We took Alli with us and she and I recreated all our childhood memories of vacation on the Oregon Coast.
First stop was Portland to show the kids where their dad and I got married. We were there on July 25th, where 18 years ago to the day we stayed in Portland to get married the next day.
Happy Anniversary!
Stopped at Multinomah Falls on the way to Portland
Hit some major traffic while in Portland. But this sign gave us some comic relief.
Still the prettiest location for a temple, EVER. Right in the middle of the forest.
Families ARE forever.
Dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.
Day 2: Cannon Beach
I have spent a lot of time on the OR coast and it is ALWAYS cloudy and windy. This day was no different-or so we thought.
Haystack Rock

Our first hint of blue sky
Sea Anemones were not exciting enough for Levi, he wanted to find a star fish.
He froze his legs, but he did finally find one back inside this crevice. I was not about to freeze my legs just to get a picture of it.
More beautiful blue sky
About 1:00 the clouds burned off and we were caught without our sunscreen!
My anniversary card to Rock this year.
Alli and I could not believe our luck. We have never seen the OR coast with blue water! Only gray. It turned into a gorgeous day. Stay tuned for the more of Day 2 as we head down the coast.

We both look so greasy in that picture.
