Anyone who has read Lord of the Rings knows about 2nd Breakfasts, but at our house we often have a Second Christmas!
For example, when we went to Aunt Janie and Uncle Calvin’s for dinner Christmas night, the kids opened more presents from Janie and Calvin and even their sweet girls got the kids some gifts! I’m so sad I didn’t take any pictures!!!
Rock’s parents often come right after Christmas for a visit, as they did this year, and we got to celebrate all over again! And this year Libby and I also took a quick trip to WA to visit my parents to give them their Christmas present and Libby got a THIRD Christmas!
(I realize that it is now January and I am just now finishing up the Christmas blogs, but I’m not sure I’ve ever finished a Christmas blog before January, so why start now! )
Here’s the G&G Hymas gift exchange:
Levi got a new stuffed animal from G&G. He now has a dog named Doggy, a fox named Foxy, and a dog named Doxy.
Liberty got a tea set that sings! She was tickled pink about it!
Even Grandpa had some tea.
Same day, different outfit ![]()
Here she is dancing to her Tea Pot (you’ll have to tune out the talking in the background…sorry)
Reagan and Cade each got magazine subscriptions.
You can’t see the “oh!” he’s making with his mouth, but he was very excited.
Isn’t National Geographic great!!! They have devoured these ever since.
Rock got an amazing little remote controlled helicopter that the boys are drooling over.
We got snow Christmas night so the boys built this snowman while waiting for the second present opening to begin.
This is the sombrero snowman-with a scarf.
Grandma, Liberty, and I made cookies together so I could try out my new Silpat mat they gave me! The cookies turned out perfect, to the chagrine of all the low carb eaters !![]()
In Washington Liberty LOVED hanging out with a bunch of girls. She got her nails done,
did some Wii Let’s Dance,
and she found every pink stuffed animal in Grandma’s house.![]()
Here she is reading her Dora books from her 3rd Christmas. ![]()
Here is my parent’s Christmas present from all their children this year:
In order to understand the significance of this momentous wall, you have to understand that never in my entire life has their been a Don and Kim Wesel family picture on a wall in my parent’s home. We decided this year to take things into our own hands and change that. Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!
Thanks for a wonderful Christmas everyone! It was so good to see so many of you! May our 2013 be amazing with several weddings and some college acceptances and lots of jobs and no deployments and lots of healthy people!
No more video taping me! I need to get dates not scare them away.
