Levi spent all summer trying to get his friends to go on a backpacking trip and he was finally successful in August.

These four had an absolute blast up near Stanley for a few days. And other than some car trouble at the end of their trip, it went off without a hitch- for which we mothers were very grateful.

The very next weekend he went camping with another group of friends. They got REAL down and dirty.

Some things never change……

We got to spend some extra time with our Wesel cousins this summer while Derek and Penny worked on their house remodel and got some time alone before Derek left for a deployment.

We had just Rosie for a day. She and Libby had lots of fun doing girly things.

Then we had all the kids over for a couple nights. We made Rock’s pizza with them and it was a big hit.

It was lots of fun and we plan to have them over a lot while their Dad is gone to give their mom a break.
