I have been planning for the day when I could take my Liberty to the Statue of Liberty since the day we decided on her name a year and a half ago, and though it was a little anti-climatic (Liberty wasn’t overly excited to meet her namesake. Go fig) it was still a day to remember.
“The Statue of Libby!” as Levi likes to say
Not a very good picture… but it was the best we could do. Alli had to practically lay on the ground to get this one.
We had a fun ferry ride
Even though it was very hot!

We waved to Dad at work,
resisted the urge to buy Liberty her first Barbie Doll for $50.00, (and a million other gift store paraphernalia that said “Liberty” on it)
And ended our very hot day with the best souvenir money could buy,
Ice cream!

oh man, you have to go back and get the barbie. (tuck it away until it can be fully appreciated). totally awesome.

You totally scared me with your talk of buying the Barbie, there was a minute where I thought you were really going to do it. I thought oh no how am I going to face Rock and tell him I couldn't stop his wife from making such and expensive purchase.

These are so great. You will take 'Miss LIberty\” to see her namesake when she is older and can understand it all better. That will be fun to observe. 🙂 And by the way, I am enjoying all your cute sister pics. You 3 really do have a strong ressemblance. And Kami, I can see the effects of your low-carb diet! You are stinkin' skinny!
